ADULT SAILING PROGRAMS

We are pleased to announce Nantucket Yacht Club’s new and improved Adult Sailing Offerings! We have something that can appeal to every member in our club, from those who have never been on a sailboat to our most seasoned racers.

NOVICE and RECREATIONAL SAILING:

For adults who have never properly been taught how to sail, or who took lessons when they were in grade school and junior high but have not been a boat since, this is the perfect way to focus on fundamentals and learn the basics to be able to proficiently sail a boat by yourself.

RACING INSTRUCTION:

Sailing has a funny distinction from Tennis. Many who insist they do not like racing love a great game of touch the fence or a morning hit-around with their doubles squad. The reality is that when presented correctly, Sailing can bring this same amount of competitive enjoyment without some of the stereotypical negative vibes that have made racing divisive in the past. Our mission in the Sailing department is to ensure that everyone who is participating in our instructional Racing programs is learning, having fun, and getting faster every time they are on the water!
