Adult Laser Clinics: Tuesday & Thursday 2:15 - 4:45, Saturday & Sunday 9:30-12:00 We use drills and games that mimic aspects of racing, to gain a better understanding of the Laser. This is a great opportunity for many to experience this fun singlehanded craft.
Rhodes Mixers: Tuesday & Thursday from 9:30 - 12 Use drills and games to improve your sailing and racing in the Rhodes 19! You can sign up as a team, as an individual, as a couple...whatever works for you!
Rhodes Casual Distance Sailing: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 9:30-12:00 PM This class is engineered to give the less competitively oriented sailors an option to get on the water with some oversight and instruction.
Instructors will not be in boats. Sailors will need to be capable of getting on and off the mooring and successfully navigating the mooring field without an instructor on board.
We will be sailing in Optimum Sailing Conditions only, to minimize the need for rescues that will compromise social distancing. If a class needs to be canceled due to poor conditions, we will endeavor to make the call 30 minutes before the start of class.
If you are sailing with members who do not live with you in the same home, masks must be worn the whole time you are sailing.
We suggest that you form a steady, or semi-steady, team of three that sail together. If you don’t have your own team, we can help pair you with other sailors – in this instance, you will need to be comfortable sailing in close proximity to others.
While there are not instructors in the boats, we want to welcome sailors of any experience level to participate – please contact the Sail Office before registering so that we can help you find the right class fit!
