Peter McEachern, General Manager
Peter A. McEachern, was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1962, a great year for Chateau Latour and an even better year for Weatherly which defeated Gretel 4-1 to take the America's Cup! His first management position was at The River Club in Jacksonville, Florida, then at Winchester Country Club in Winchester, MA. After 15 years at Winchester, he decided to take on a new adventure, starting up "Black Rock," a brand new country Club in Hingham, MA, where he worked as the General Manager for four years. He and his wife Stacey were married in 1997, and have four children, Taylor, Isabelle, Trevor and Caiden.

Lynell Vollans, Controller
Lynell Vollans is an island native who lives year-round on Nantucket with her husband and three children. She graduated from Bentley College with a degree in accounting and previously worked for the Town of Nantucket.

Chris Freeman, Executive Chef
Chef Freeman brings to the Nantucket Yacht Club years of culinary expertise cultivated at the world's top rated resort inns. Chef Freeman has been repeatedly honored as Nantucket's highest rated chef for food by ZAGAT Survey and has earned accolades from food critics nationwide and abroad. Chris served as Executive Chef on Nantucket at Oran Mor and Topper's, in Washington, CT at the Mobil 5 Star rated Mayflower Inn-Relais & Châteaux, and as sous chef at the Lodge at Koele on the Island of Lanai, Hawaii. Trained at the Culinary Institute of America, Chris has been featured numerous times at the James Beard House in New York City and has received critical praise from Zagat, Bon Appetit, Coastal Living, Town & Country, Gourmet, National Geographic Traveler and Travel & Leisure.
Chef Freeman's signature cooking style is one of inspired simplicity. His innovative dishes celebrate the distinct, natural flavors of Nantucket's seasonal delicacies and native seafood.

Vin Raimo, Facilities Manager
Vin Raimo is from Yarmouth, MA, and has been the Facilities Manager at NYC since 2007. Vin is a 100 Ton Motor/Sail/Towing Master, a Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor, and a Life-long Sailor. He moved to Nantucket in 1997 to run a sailing charter business on Straight Wharf, which is where he met his wife, Laura. Their family has grown to consist of their daughter, Madeline; and their son, Gordon. Vin watches over and maintains all of NYC's buildings and properties 12 months of the year, but he is also known to drive the launch from time to time.

Olivier Payot, Maitre d'Anchorage
Olivier Payot is originally from France but has called Nantucket home for many years. He lives on island year-round with his lovely wife Lisa. He enjoys several types of outdoor sports including windsurfing and skiing.

John DiNardo, Service Director
John DiNardo is originally from Eastchester, NY, and is an experienced high-end restaurant professional. He enjoys coaching others on how to serve and grow within the hospitality industry. John is also passionate about wine and is certified as a first level Sommelier. He believes in immaculate table and wine service and is looking forward to helping make the Nantucket Yacht Club a wonderful place.

Charlie Davey, Waterfront/Launch
Charlie Davey has been with the NYC for quite a number of years and runs the waterfront staff and launch boat. He was born on Nantucket, MA, and worked at various boat yards and boat basins before finding his way to the NYC. After being on the water all day, Charlie prefers to garden in his spare time.

Emma van der Werff, Events Coordinator
Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Emma first came to Nantucket as a college student in 2014 and has returned every season since. After years of working in fine dining restaurants in Europe, Nantucket was a welcome lifestyle change. Having worked at the club for two seasons as a server and bartender, she began her first management role at NYC after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Entrepreneurship. Passionate about food, wine & travel – she has been lucky to work alongside several Master Sommeliers and earn her credentials from the Court of Master Sommeliers. Emma lives on island April – October but is available by email year round to help you with organizing private functions and to answer any questions you may have about member events.

Justin Assad, Sailing Master
Justin Assad grew up in East Greenwich, RI, and learned to sail on Narragansett Bay. A 2003 graduate of Columbia University, he helped the Lions win their first Ivy League Sailing Championship in 2002. Justin coached for 7 years at the University of Vermont, and has been coaching the Dartmouth College Big Green since 2010. When not on the water, he can be found skiing, playing hockey, or trail running with his wife and two adorable little girls.

Ken Wasserman, Tennis Director
Ken was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida, where he reached junior tennis rankings as high as number 1 in the State of Florida and top 5 in the US. He received a tennis scholarship to play Division I tennis at Clemson University. Ken majored in Finance and had a successful college tennis career with wins over teams ranked in the top 5 of the US. After college, he worked at the Greenwich Country Club in Greenwich, CT as their Head Tennis Assistant before coming to Nantucket in 2005 at age 27 as the Director of Tennis for the Nantucket Yacht Club. Ken and his family spend the off-seasons in Boise, ID.

Paul Smith, Maintenance Supervisor
Paul Smith was born and raised on Nantucket where he lives with his wife, Tina. Paul worked for the Nantucket Police Department for 18 years, followed by many more years working as a finish carpenter. Paul loves Nantucket and living on this special island we call home.
